Busy weekend for Laoise and Torie

It was a busy weekend for a couple of our players.
On Friday evening Torie and Laoise received their Ulster Colleges' All-star Awards at a Gala Dinner in the Elk. This was the first time that a player from Brídíní Óga was selected on the All-star team and it is a great honour for the club to receive two awards. I'm sure these will be the first of many for our club.

On Saturday the two girls were joined by Kirsty in the Antrim team for the first game of the All-Ireland Minor campaign against Down. Kirsty played well at corner-back and Laoise captained the team from midfield and scored the opening goal. Victoria is still carrying an injury and was unable to start. She was badly missed as the team fell by a single point to Down and the absence of a free-taker was a critical factor in the result.
