ULSTER FOOTBALL LEAGUE Dungannon 2--09 Glenravel 0--08 Last Sunday morning in Fr Maginn Park a very young glenravel team got off to a very poor start and very quickly were 9 points behind.but despite this the team battled hard in conditions that suited the strong Tyrone men.A good run out with quite a few young boys making their senior debut.Next Sunday Glenravel are away to Kildress at 12 oclock.

Big weekend for some of our players in local school teams and it would be great to see some local support along to cheer them on.
Best of luck to St Louis Ballymena who appear in the Senior A camogie final for the first time since 1951 (Ballymena Sunday 11am). They will be up against the holders Cross & Passion Ballycastle - the first ever all nort Antrim final at this level. We have FOUR girls involved - Kirsten Edgar, Molly Woulahan, Aimee Traynor and Brónagh Laverty.
Best of luck, girls.
Then on Monday (1pm in Ballymena) Cathal Hynds will captain St Killian's in their first ever Leonard Cup hurling final when they also play Cross and Passion Ballycastle. Club footballers Gabriel Leech, Shea McDonnell and Shane McKenna also play for this team.
So, again, best of luck to all concerned.

Great to see our playing members progress in school teams this term - in three of the four codes our players have reached (or already won) finals. That is a great credit to them, their mentors in school and also in our club.
Best of luck today to Seamas and St Killian's in an Ulster senior camogie final. According to today's Irish News we have 11 players in this panel!

Yes - it is great to see our local schools doing so well. GAA for a lot of our youngsters is pretty much a 365 day a year sport!

Quite a number of our players are involved in Ulster Schools' finals this week.
First up is St Killian's in the Under 16 Camogie final where 14 from the panel of 28 play for us. They take on OLSP Knock in Colaiste Feirste Belfast on Thursday 26th at 6pm.
Then on Friday 5pm in Ballymena we are 100% sure of having a winner as St Louis Ballymena take on St Killian's in the MacNamee Cup final. There are boys playing for both teams.
Best of luck to everyone.

Yes -- as the club scene takes a much needed break the school season is in full swing. Good luck to all the Club's representatives in those matches. Our GAA games may be regarded as Amateur but our youngsters play them 365 days a year!

A great win for our un16 footballers on Monday night under the Slemish Park floodlights defeating Randalstown by a point in a thrilling game. For the first 30 minutes the green and whites played some fantastic football and lead by 1 goal and 7 points to four points at the break. The boys in blue started well and with ten minutes to go had narrowed the gap to a point but with a great team effort and some fine defending Glenravel held out to win by one point. This team have displayed great heart, determination and skill throughout the year and are a credit to their families and club.Congratulations to the squad and mentors,Breslin Cup and div one league winners 2017.

Well done to Con Magees ladies footballers on a great victory in the junior championship final last night [monday] against Gort na Mona under lights in Belfast.Despite going behind after 10 minutes by 7 points they fought hard to be level at half time.A great second half display and Glenravel had a eight point advantage but the Belfast girls dident give up and when the ref blew for full time our ladies were 4 points to the good and the cup was on its way to the glens

Congratulations to the ladies football team on winning the County Junior Championship on Monday night against Gortnamona in Belfast .After a horrendous start they fought back brilliantly to finish convincing winners. If their lethal forwards can continue to run directly at opposing defences and carry the ball right into the scoring area , an Ulster title is a distinct possibility, such has been the improvement within this squad!Well done to all concerned.
THANKS FOR A LOVELY BIRTHDAY PRESENT!
